Sevel, which carries out the R&D, design, production and exports of ice cream and cake display sections to more than 70 countries, has taken steps to reduce its carbon footprint within the framework of the European Union Green Agreement decisions. Continuing its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint, Sevel provides 100% of the electrical energy of its factory in Torbalı, İzmir, from solar energy. It has taken an important step towards becoming an environmentalist by starting production as a result of the P&D and test processes it started in 2021 to replace the R452 refrigerant gas used in ice cream display showcases with the R290 (propane) refrigerant gas, which has been certified in compliance with the F-gas regulation and European standards.
